WE HAVE THE POWER TO END GERRYMANDERING
The next redistricting will happen after the 2020 Census, but the only way that we can make sure the system will work for us is if we change the Oklahoma Constitution first.
A Commission, made up of citizens and independent of the Legislature, should lead redistricting in Oklahoma.
Every party with ballot access, as determined by the State of Oklahoma, should have an equal seat at the table.
Citizens should be guaranteed the right to participate in the process of deciding how they are represented.
There should be well-defined standards that guide the commission in drawing fair, responsive district lines.
